Richard and Meg Weekley Community Center

Richard and Meg Weekley Community Center

When Richard and Meg Weekley moved to Cypress, Texas, from Southampton, England, in the early 1970s, they knew they wanted to live in a community where neighbors would look out for one another. They found that in the small town of Cypress, their neighborhood was safe and friendly, but there was plenty to do. So Richard and Meg bought a 98-acre farm and built their home on the property. Then, in 1978, they made their first community center for the Cypress-B in T L R Park, known as Richard and Meg Weekley Community Center. Today, the center is still a hub of activity for the neighborhood, where Richard and Meg’s friends and family still gather today.
